A guy friend who is about to get married admit to me that he is a little scared. He said he has been by himself for all these time, it will be hard to adjust to a non-single life.
I told him that the freedom he is afraid to lose was never there in the first place.
My friend looked puzzled, so I continued.
"Just imagine how your friend will be different, will you be hanging out with different friends? Will you be doing different things if you are single?"
More then likely you won't, if you are a person who are used to watching PPS at home, you will still do that, if you are a person who plays basketball with your friends, you will still do that. The illusion of a "choice" if you are single is just an illusion, because if you are not that person who does other crazy things, that is just not you.
Freedom is overrated... sometimes...
