Yesterday afternoon I had a chance to volunteer at the International Children's Festival, to help setting up a tent.
The festival is held at Vanier Park. It was a gorgeous day yesterday. Green grass with white tents, blue sky, blue ocean, with kids playing kites, and birds flying by. With the warm breeze gentlely touching my face...
Turning around, you would have seen the Burrard bridge standing in the middle of the city, at a distant, you can almost hear the cars zipping over the bridge. It is quiet, maybe children's laughters far far away...
After exposing myself under the sun, I had a great dinner with 2 best friends and one really really special friend. It makes me wonder, why does anyone want to leave this city to go somewhere else?

isnt it nice to listen to the laughter oflittle kids in a lovely day?but yes..why anyone wanna leave the lovely city..well...maybe they had never try to taste the lovely city itself n thought that somewhere else had better thing for them to discover..but yet..when they can't find the thing they desire..they'l return...
I was wondering the same question too...
I will tell you why upon my return~
If I ever find the answer
Sometimes it is not you that chooses the direction of where life takes you. Some people leave because they have to, not because they want to. Leaving is itself an adventure to bring back new stuff to an old place. Staying at the same place for too long makes people lazy and forget that they can better themselves.
good point, but I think they will be lazy and forget that they can better themselves, no matter where they go. You have to choose a place at some point, changing environment doesn't necessary change a person.
you were there? how come I didn't see you :P
I totally agree with 蝶兒
So I am going to treat Taiwan as a place for me to "venture"...
Maybe I can even go to Shanghai or Singapore or Japan... who knows?
One day when I am tired of floating, I can always return to the comfy Vancouver!! ^^
